  1. Proposal for School To Careers/Six Flags Great Adventure Summer Employment Program at Trenton Central High School

BE IT RESOLVED: that the Trenton Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Proposal for the School To Careers/Six Flags Great Adventure Summer Employment Program at Trenton Central High School for the period June 20, 2009 through October 31, 2009 at no cost to the Board. The program will provide 30-40 students in Grades 9-12 with the opportunity to earn money and save for the upcoming school year. Students will attend weekly Employability Skills Workshops facilitated by the Coordinator-Workforce Relations and conducted by Junior Achievement Business Partners, Mercer County Chamber of Commerce Partners and guest speakers. Students are eligible for free roundtrip transportation from TCHS-Chambers to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. Students and Parents/Guardians must sign the Transportation/Workshop Contract and the Standards of Conduct Contract.

  1. Resolution for New Jersey Primary Care Association Health Program at Dunn Middle School

BE IT RESOLVED: that the Trenton Board of Education, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, approves the Resolution for the New Jersey Primary Care Association Health Program at Dunn Middle School on May 15, 2009 at no cost to the Board. The one-day program, to coincide with National Women’s Health Week, is entitled “Be Safe, Be Healthy, Be Happy” and will target the Seventh Grade female population at Dunn Middle School to empower them, instilling knowledge, self-awareness and hope.
